Artificial intelligence is now seen as a catalyst for the development of modern economies. It occupies a central place in the industrial production. It is currently the subject of discussions for its standardization. Planning for its development becomes interesting when it has to integrate the data that facilitate the presence of women. Various stakeholders believe that good artificial intelligence should not neglect the needs of women.
This positioning is motivated by the fact that many artificial intelligence jobs are largely occupied by men. While women’s preferences are not necessarily those of men, it is understandable that planning for the development of artificial intelligence must take into account everything that will allow women to enjoy their rights. It must not be left out of decisions about future projects that will be carried out by artificial intelligence.
Statistics show that the tech sector is still male dominated. Women are underrepresented. However, a balanced workforce would help to produce that meets everyone’s needs. There are reports from reliable sources that women are estimated to represent 22 per cent of artificial intelligence professionals worldwide. The gap between women and men in this field raises questions about the diversity of perspectives in the development of artificial intelligence.
The International Telecommunication Union is already working on standards for inclusive artificial intelligence. Nevertheless, the woman must be conscious to prove her capacity for participation. Women often find it difficult to accept the leadership role. They need to build their confidence and interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. They must dream of embracing the professions of artificial intelligence that a larger percentage is occupied by men.
